Hamilton Gardens, New Zealand
Back Posted On: 5/31/2017 12:00:00 AMDuring a recent visit to New Zealand we made time for a trip to Hamilton Gardens. These brilliant gardens are nestled against the banks of the Waikato river in the university town of Hamilton in the north island. They spread over 54 hectares and are extremely well maintained by Hamilton Council.
As you’d expect in any public park there are sweeping lawns, majestic trees and paths leading everywhere but Hamilton Gardens has something else to offer. It contains an extraordinary collection of themed gardens which are cleverly woven together in a way that delights and enchants as you make your way through each space.
Hamilton Gardens have won multiple awards (including International Garden of the Year in 2014) and should definitely be included in your sightseeing when visiting New Zealand. Anyway enough waffling on, let the photos speak for themselves! Click on them to make them larger.
