eco-neem now controls grasshoppers!

Great news just through from the Australian pesticide regulatory body (the APVMA).  They’ve approved our trial work and we are now allowed to tell you that eco-neem will control wingless grasshoppers.

We’ve known for years that eco-neem will deal with grasshoppers but until we ran some Australian trials the APVMA restricted us from putting it on the label. So we bit the bullet and ran the trials in December 2013 with great success.  The APVMA just finished reviewing all the data (yes it takes them awhile) and has given us the green light.  Yay!

Instructions for controlling wingless grasshoppers will start appearing on bottles in December 2014 but if you can’t wait until then the rate is 3ml per litre of water.  Spray at the first sign of grasshoppers and repeat spray every 7 days as needed.

Best of all there’s no change to the formulation of eco-neem.  This means if you already have a bottle sitting in the garden shed it will work on grasshoppers right now.  You don’t have to rush out and buy a new bottle to get the benefits.
